Emulation is nothing new. Websites have made Emulators widely available for free for years now. However, what has changed are the emulators themselves. In the past, setting up a successful emulator has been tricky business, requiring terminal commands and permissions -altering procedures in order to get any worthwhile results.

C=EMULATORS for MAC

Emulation is no longer hard to accomplish, even if you are new to Mac OS X.

VICE
VICE is a program that runs on a Mac OS X machine and executes programs intended for the old 8-bit computers.

The current version emulates the C64, the C64DTV, the C128, the VIC20, almost all PET models, the PLUS4 and the CBM-II (aka C610).

VIRTUALC64
VirtualC64 emulates a Commodore 64 personal computer.

An emulator that can be used as a demonstrator program with integrated various debugging capabilities that let you peek inside the CPU, RAM, ROM, or one of the custom chips.

VAMIGA
vAmiga is open-source emulator for the Commodore Amiga Line.

vAmiga emulates a Commodore Amiga 500, 1000 or 2000 on your Mac. Development begun in January 2019 and the emulator is currently in beta testing. Bug reports on GitHub are greatly appreciated.

DENISE
Denise is a cycle accurate and platform independant c64 / amiga (not yet) emulator.

Denise supports REU, EasyFlash, Retro Replay, Action Replay, Light Guns/Pens, GunStick, Mouse 1351, Mouse Neos, Paddles.

FRODO
Frodo was developed to reproduce Commodore 64 video with a higher degree of precision than existing emulators at the time.

It has now been superceded by projects such as Power64, but nevertheless still provides a solid and functional emulation.

MICRO64
Aimed to become the most accurate C64 Emulator. a High-End Computer is strongly recommended.

Mcro64 has two different VIC II emulation modes (both are half-cycle exact), single pixel dot clock exact, and dynamic pixel block-wise.

FS-UAE
FS-UAE uses the latest Amiga emulation code from WinUAE.

E-UAE
E-UAE is based on the work of dozens of contributors.
